Anyone who knows me personally will know how much I love Pizza, and that I can never resist a visit to Pizza Express. So when I was invited by one of my local branches to sample some of their delicious dishes I was ecstatic! But this was a Pizza Express visit with a difference, as all of the dishes I would sample were vegan, and gave me an opportunity to take part in Veganuary.
Their vegan menu runs all year round and includes a selection of one-of-a-kind dishes alongside vegan-friendly alternatives of some of my favourite Italian dishes.
I and my sister began with a starter of classic Dough Balls, which is always my go-to dish at an Italian restaurant. These were then followed by a heavenly Margherita, which was just a delicious as my usual favourite Diavolo pizza.
After two filling dishes, we decided to opt for a light dessert option. Their Leggara Raspberry Sorbet is a heavenly dairy-free alternative to ice cream, and every portion is just under 210 calories!
The vegan menu also features a selection of delicious sides, pasta dishes and sponge-based desserts. Pizza Express also offers a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, which is perfect those who are taking part in dry January!
Overall, I loved trying these vegan-alternatives to some of my favourite dishes, and I will certainly not hesitate to try other vegan and vegetarian dishes in the future. So, if you live near a Pizza Express I suggest that you take a trip and try something a little different and that you end Veganuary in the right way!
I would also like to thank the staff at the Intu Metrocentre branch for their kind hospitality throughout our visit.

I was offered a three-course meal and a soft drink for two in return for my 100% honest views, not sponsored.
