High Street Makeup Haul

Hello, my Loves x

As Christmas is just around the corner, I decided to treat myself to a few new makeup items, to which the majority of them are perfect for the festive season, from glistening golds to ruby reds. I have also found some alternatives for popular high-end makeup products, so if you are on a budget I hope this post is helpful to you!

L’Oréal Paris Merry Metals Glow Drops

Over the last year or so, the Iconic London Illuminator Drops have been all over the bloggersphere, and I believe that L’oreal have now created the ultimate high street dupe. The Merry Metals Drops are a part of their new Christmas collection, and they are absolutely stunning! They are a beautiful pearlescent pink, to which I personally do not use these as a highlighter, but as an illuminating primer. I use the pipette and drop two drops onto my fingers tips and then massage the product onto my skin, to create a glowy base for my foundation.

I have found that this has really improved the longevity of my base products, although the drops do have quite a watery consistency, but do not be put off by this as I find that it allows my foundation and concealer to buff better. I will definitely be purchasing another bottle of these on my next trip to boots!

RRP: £9.99

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Metallic Lip Paint

As part of their Christmas collection, L’oreal have also released a range of metallic lip paints, which at first I was rather scared to wear. I picked up the shade ‘Cute but Psycho’ which is a beautiful cherry red with a rusty undertone, which when paired against my eye and hair colour is the best red shade for me!

I was first slightly put off by the thought of a metallic red lip, as I usually just stay in my nude lip comfort zone, but I love how it makes such a simple statement and how easy it is to wear! They are also non-transferable and the longevity of them is incredible, and I have never received more compliments than when I have been wearing this!

RRP: £6.99

 L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss

If you are a reoccurring reader of my blog, you will already be aware of how much I love these lip glosses, in particularly because of their formula. I love how they are none tacky they are and how they leave a beautiful glistening sheen on your lips. The shade Disco the ultimate nude lip gloss with little gold flecks running through it. I also think they are the perfect high street dupe for the Jouer Lip Toppers!

RRP: £6.99

Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Carbon Black Extreme

Supercat is the ultimate liquid liner! Firstly as it is in pen form it glides along your lash line and allows you have to have a precise application, and it is also the blackest of the black liners. When it comes to any kind of festive look, without winged liner and some fluttery falsies it just doesn’t feel complete to me!

RRP: £6.00

NYX Professional Makeup Soft Matte Lip Cream

Some of my favourite liquid lipsticks available on the high street at the Soft Matte Lip Cream’s, as their is such a huge shade range and they are also handbag friendly. As an alternative to the metallic lip, I decided to pick up the pillar box red shade Amsterdam and I can already see myself wearing this so much across the festive period.

They are so comfortable to wear, and they are so pigmented, especially for something that is priced at just over £5!

RRP: £6.00
