Christmas 2017 : My Festive Makeup Staples

Hello, my Loves x

One of the many things I love about Christmas is the fact that I get to rediscover my favourite shimmery shadows and my holy grail red lipsticks! Today I wanted to share with you all my ultimate festive makeup items, I hope you enjoy!

I, just like everyone else, loves wearing a red lip over the festive period, and my favourite this year is the Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipstick in Berry Formidable  which although it may be a berry toned red, has a subtle blue undertone which means your teeth will look bright and white in your family Christmas photo! These lipsticks also have a gorgeous comfort matte formula, making them super easy to wear, and they also don’t transfer when eating and drinking!

Although if you don’t feel comfortable wearing a bold lip this Christmas, pairing the Makeup Revolution Life on the Dance Floor Guest List Head Turner Lipstick and the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Resist Me Lipgloss together creates the ultimate rose gold glossy lip!

For those Christmas parties and nights out, you really need to set your base products to ensure that you don’t end up looking shiny and oily. I use the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent to set under my eyes, my t-zone and around my nose and I find that it doesn’t crease or make me look cakey,  it allows your natural glow to shine through instead of making your face look flat and 2D.

To add some extra glow and dimension to my face,  I love using the  3INA The Highlighter in 201 which is such a gorgeous gold shade, yet it so subtle.  When applied to the highpoints of my face my skin just glistens, and it can even be worn as an eyeshadow!

When it comes to my eyeshadow I tend to stick with copper and gold shades, as I find that these are the shades that compliment my green eyes the most. My favourite copper shade is NYX Hot Singles Eye Shadow in Showgirl as when teamed with a matte brown shade it really makes any eye look pop. And as for my favourite gold shade, I adore the 3INA The Metallic Shadow in 501 which is the ultimate golden shade, with a subtle copper undertone which makes it such a beautiful metallic lid shade which I personally wear alone swept over the eyelid.

If you are looking for longevity when it comes to your eye look, I highly recommend that you try out the 3INA The Cream Eyeshadow in 313which is a beautiful metallic bronze shade. Although this may be a cream shadow, it is amazingly pigmented and it blends like an absolute dream. If you are little more daring you can ever wear this as a liquid liner!

Finally, in my opinion, a festive makeup look is never complete without a pair of false lashes, to which my new favourite lash brand is KISS. I have two perfect party options, with the Kiss True Volume Lashes in Chic  being the ultimate fluttery lash style, whilst the Kiss False Lashes Couture Singles in Gala are very bold and eye-catching!

As for what glue I stick my eyelashes on with, seeing as I always where winged liner, the Kiss Strip Black Lash Adhesive is the perfect lash glue, as although it applies white it turns into black as it dries,  allowing my liner to still look black and intense!
