Makeup Revolution ‘Life on The Dancefloor’ VIP Eyeshadow Palette : Review

Hello, my Loves x

If you follow me on my social media channels, you will be aware that I recently attended the Makeup Revolution Halloween party, to which a blog post dedicated to my trip to London and the event will be going up on my blog soon.

I have been a huge fan of Makeup Revolution since the brand first began, but over the last few months, I have found that the products that the brand provides have become of a lot higher quality and they are constantly releasing outstanding products. Whilst still keeping their affordable price tags!

Whilst at the event we were given a preview of the new releases, including the Life on the Dancefloor collection, made up of glittery packaged eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks, and they are quite simply stunning. The collection is also perfect for the upcoming festive season, with a palette for every occasion and to meet everyone’s personal preference.

I was kindly gifted one of the lipsticks in my goody box from the event, and I knew that upon my return home, I just had to pick up one of the palettes!

I decided to pick up the VIP palette, as I felt that the shades within the palette would compliment my green eyes perfectly and that I would get a lot of wear out of the shades. There are 24 beautifully pigmented shadows within the palette, including a mixture of matte and shimmer shades making it a very versatile palette.

The packaging itself perfectly portrays the theme of disco and dancefloors, as the shadows are encased in a gold glitter palette.

There is a fantastic mixture of cool and warm toned shades within the palette, allowing it to stand out from all of my other warm-toned eyeshadow palettes. Although as per usual, I have found that the shimmer shades are a lot more pigmented than the matte shades, which I believe that it is quite difficult to find fantastic matte shadows on the high street.

My favourite shades within the palette at this moment in time are; Worthy, Big Shot, Reputation and On Tab. To which I have been using Worthy and Big Shot in my crease, and Reputation and On Tab in the centre of my lid to create definition. I have found the formula of the shadows allows both the mattes and the shimmers to buff seamlessly together,  and that the shadows are quite long lasting.

Personally, I have not yet found anything negative about the eyeshadow palette, and if I do I will be sure to let you all know on my social media channels, to which these are all linked on my Contact Me  page.

Over the upcoming weeks I am also hoping to pick up some of the other items within the collection, and if I do, I will, of course, share my thoughts on those also!

 RRP: £10.00

If you have also tried out any of the products from the collection, I would love to know your thoughts, so leave me a comment below!

Thank you for Reading,

Lots of Love,

Hannah, x

      1. So I’ve heard! I used to wear eye shadow from time to time, but this year my job doesn’t allow any make up whatsoever (Japanese schools are very strict on that!). But once I go back home in December I’ll be able to get back into it 🙂

      2. It would probably be a life saver! Especially one that recommends products for beginners! All my make up is years old and I hear that’s bad for you 😂
