Hello, my Loves x
Something you may not know about me is that I am a huge fan of girl bands and the girl power motto that they always seem to carry through not only their songs but in their promotional materials. This all began when I was six years old when Girl’s Aloud were formed, and I used to dance around to Sound of the Underground! The girls have always held a special place in my heart, in particularly Cheryl, and at the age of 21 she is still one of my idols, and I admire her for so many reasons.
Firstly, she is from the North East of England, so immediately that makes me love her even more. Secondly, she is multi-talented and has the ability to achieve in everything that she does. And thirdly, she is a beauty ambassador for my favourite makeup brand, L’oreal, to which I was ecstatic when I discovered that she was releasing a collection with them!
The first product to be released was a lip kit, to which they are available in three shades; burgundy, peach and greige. I was also pleased that the liquid lipstick within the lip kits, is the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Lip Paint to which you will all know these are my favourite liquid lipsticks on the market!
I decided to pick up the burgundy shade named ‘Stripped Brown‘ as I thought this was the perfect autumnal shade, and it is the shade that Cheryl personally created in the L’oreal Labs in Paris.
For such an affordable product, I was surprised by how luxurious the outer packaging looks and feels, as well as the attention to detail with Cheryl’s lips and her signature on display.
The aim of the product pairing is to create the ultimate flawless matte lip, by combining the matte lip paint and their Infallible Lip Liner. I began by applying the liner following my natural lip line and softly filling in the centre of my lip in order to create a solid base for the lip paint, and I found that the creamy formula of the lip liner glided seamlessly onto my lips. As always I was impressed by the easy application of the lip paint especially with it being such a dark vampy shade. Once paired together the duo looked beautiful, and even when eating and drinking the longevity of the products blew my mind!
Personally, I have not yet found anything negative about the lip kit, and if I do I will be sure to let you all know on my social media channels, to which these are all linked on my Contact Me page.
Over the upcoming weeks I am also hoping to pick up the other two shades in the range, and if I do, I will, of course, share my thoughts on those also!
RRP: £9.99
If you have also tried out the lip kits, I would love to know your thoughts, so leave me a comment below!
Thank you for Reading,
Lots of Love,
Hannah, x
