Does Primark’s Fake Tan really work? : Budget Beauty

Hello, my Loves x

If you are a reoccurring reader of my blog, you will know how much I love Primark’s ‘PS Beauty’ range,  particularly their  Pure Glow Highlighting Palette. Yet I had never tried any of their tanning range until I was asked to pick up their Bronze Self Tan Mousse and review it for you all.

I picked up the shade Light/Medium, as I am very fair skinned, so I never like to be very dark, as this can end up looking unnatural. I was very hopeful and excited to try out the tan, especially as it is enriched with apricot oil, so it smell’s heavenly!

The night before applying the mousse, I bathed and exfoliated with the Champneys Citrus Blush Enlivening Shower Gel applied onto an exfoliating glove to remove the previous layer of fake tan and any dry skin. I then deeply moisturised my skin with the Zoella Gelato Body Pudding, which is my current favourite body lotion!

The next morning, I then applied one layer of the tan with the PS tanning mitt and at first, I was little nervous as when I first swept the tan onto my skin, I looked a little bit like a minion! I was then pleasantly surprised by how evenly the tan applied, and how perfect the tan looked within a matter of minutes. I must also point out that I did not have to touch up any areas, as it easily and evenly blended into the skin.

I love how the tan doesn’t have the horrible biscuity smell, and how it does not transfer heavily onto your bed sheets, which are my pet peeves when it comes to false tanning.

The tan suggests that you leave it for 4-8 to hours before you wet your skin, although I did not wash off the tan until the following morning. To which I was left with the golden glowing tan, and I can easily see this become one of my new favourite fake tans!
