In the words of Karen Smith “On Wednesday We Wear Pink”….but what is the harm in wearing it everyday of the week! It is certainly something I have been guilty of for the first few weeks of January. After wearing a red lip and a brown smokey eye religiously for the last few months of 2015, I decided it was time to branch out into a fresher more rosy look at last.
The Iconic 3 has quickly become my everyday eye palette, with the perfect mixture of matte and shimmer shades it is an incredible day to night palette. Make-up Revolution are best known for their high end dupes, and with this being the £4 dupe of the Urban Decay Naked 3 what is not to love! From the buttery soft formula to the high pigmentation you cannot help but lust after it, with it also including the best dupe of my favourite eye-shadow which is UD’s ‘Chopper’ I would defiantly repurchase this palette just for the dupe.
Yet again another product from MUR that I can not give enough praise too. The Vivid Baked Blushers are very similar to the blushers featured in the Ultra Blush Palette, they are the perfect formulation of soft pigmentation and a gentle highlight leaving a flawless sheen to your cheeks. Loved Me The Best is the best shade of the whole collection in a beautiful rosy tone to still give you the flush of being out in the cold as well as carrying it into the blossom season of Spring.
From the packaging of the lip butter you would expect a highly pigmented neon shade, but out comes the perfect watermelon pink buttery sheen. Even though this is the perfect product to apply on the go, because of the moisturising sheen it means it can slip and slide on the lips meaning it doesn’t last long at all leaving you with just a pink tint. But I’m pretty sure if it was layered on top of a lip liner you would have a long lasting pout so I will not doubt this product yet!
In my opinion I think this is more of summer pink, with the perfect combination of pink and coral whilst being very subtle. Compared to the lip butter, the balms are by far my favourites ; with the minty scent and glossy matte feel on the lips everything about it is just beautiful, and I will defiantly be purchasing more from this line in the future. If you have tried any other shades from the line, please let me know your favourites so I can check them out 🙂
Coquette is a stunning medium pink that I am pretty sure would suit most skin tones as it is neither to blue or too red. It can either be worn for sheer for the daytime or built up for a more dramatic effect in the evening.
In my own personal opinion the lacquers have more workability, making them more versatile, as they take you from day to night. This is something that is missing from the formula of the Matte Balms as they have more of an opaque colour. And whilst the Lacquers are said to contain large particles of shimmer, and they are certainly not obvious in the slightest. This all round the perfect balm out of the two, and once again If you have tried any other shades from the line, please let me know your favourites so I can check them out 🙂
